We believe all children deserve the right to a rich and exciting curriculum experience at school, learning in a variety of ways. We encourage all our children to work to the best of their ability, to take risks, to learn from their mistakes and to Aim High to Achieve More.
Our curriculum, which is broad and balanced has been planned and enriched by our staff to ensure continuity and progression and is based on the new National Curriculum for England and Wales introduced in September 2014 and in our Reception class on the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. It consists of activities and experiences designed to encourage and develop the children intellectual, personal, spiritual, social and physically.
We use 'Letters and Sounds' in the infants to develop the children's phonics knowledge and use Oxford Reading Tree as a support for children's reading if needed.
We continue to review our curriculum and are presently reviewing the skills progression in the foundation subjects.
