Welcome to Eagles' Class Page!
Year 6 is an exciting and memorable time and your final year of primary education. You will develop more independence, resilience and, most importantly, should become very aware of you are as an individual.
We will help you to develop organisational and study skills to become ‘secondary ready’.
You are expected to set a good example, acting as role models for the younger pupils in the school and take on a range of responsibilities including: House Captains, members of the School Council, buddying Wrens (children in EYFS), Office Monitors, Librarians as well as Sports Leaders.
Although Year 6 is a very busy year, with completing SATs tests in May, there is still plenty of time for learning outside of the classroom. We go on a variety of trips including our main adventure – the Isle of Wight Residential where you get the chance to overcome challenges and try new activities. As we move towards the end of the year, we also work towards a summer production which gives you the chance to shine!
We ask you to always try your best, take on your responsibilities proudly and most of all enjoy Year 6.
